- Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid):
The great Portuguese attacker is one of the best players currently in the world. Given the responsibilities he carries, it is very likely that critics and banter come his way too. Ronaldo struggled in the first half of the season especially in front of the goal when he went through a dry spell. But that was a phase which he has put behind and since then has been involved in goals more than often. In the Champions League, he has scored 12 goals in 8 games as he has proven that he doesn’t deserve the strong hate he gets.
- Mesut Ozil (Arsenal):
The German playmaker still remains at Arsenal despite rumors suggesting him a move away from the North London club time and again. He has been unlucky as he hasn’t got the best support from the players around him, not helping his cause to create and register goals for Arsenal. He has still managed to get eight assists this season and with Aubameyang now at the club, he has the support needed and probably should not be trolled as much he is now.
- Mario Balotelli (Nice):
The Italian striker has always been surrounded with controversies but the bantering around him has gone beyond limit more than often. He hasn’t been at his best behavior plenty of times but he gets a lot of slack in spite of some impressive performances. He scored 15 goals last season and already has 14 goals with Nice this season but yet he continues to be the scapegoat every single time.
- Paulinho (Barcelona):
Paulinho couldn’t flourish during his time at Tottenham in the Premier League and that is why it raised a lot of eyebrows when he joined Barcelona this season. With all the doubters on one side, Paulinho has surely justified his move to the Catalan club by contributing in 8 from 17 appearances. He has worked tirelessly with his box-to-box abilities as he become a key member of the Barcelona team that is bound to win the La Liga title this season and it is best he gets the appreciation he deserves.
- Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United):
The young Manchester United striker was signed by the Red Devils last summer as he rejected a move to Chelsea. The Belgian has done well since then but has been constantly criticized for not doing enough given the huge money spent on the transfer. To be fair, Lukaku has worked very hard on the pitch and in spite of having a dry spell mid-season, he hasbeen involved in goals on a consistent basis. His off the ball work has been very impressive and it is time he gets the credit he deserves and gets his haters to back off.
