- Joe Gomez:
The young Englishman has been in good form with Liverpool this season and if it hadn’t been for his injury issues, we could have seen more of the youngster. Gomez has shown a lot of promise with his defensive abilities and versatility. If he can manage to start regularly ahead of Alexander Arnold, he has the chance to win the PFA award if he successfully manages to help Liverpool finish in the top four.
- Jordan Pickford:
Another Merseyside player who has done well this season is Everton’s Jordan Pickford. Having signed him from Sunderland this season, Pickford has shown his quality between the sticks. Even though Everton’s defense has been leaky, Pickford has managed to provide with some impressive performances. He has been a commanding figure in the box and can go a long way in the coming years.
- Wilfried Ndidi:
It has been difficult for Leicester City to cope in the midfield ever since Kante left. But last winter’s signing, Wilfried Ndidi has really helped to fill their void this season. He has protected the back four very well and has contributed equally well to the attack. He’s young and can develop to greater lengths which is only be beneficial for the Foxes as the young Nigerian stands a chance of winning the PFA Young player of the year award.
- Leroy Sane:
After struggling in his first season in the Premier league, Sane bounced back brilliantly this season. He has provided Pep Guardiola with the width and deadly pace he needed on the left, dribbling past players to score and assist for Manchester City. Sane has a long way to go but he surely can reach his prime if he manages to progress this way.He has been a vital player for City this season as he stands a very good chance of winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
- Raheem Sterling:
Another City player in this list is Raheem Sterling. He too struggled last season as Sane did but he has shown his quality this year and that too very well. He has scored 15 goals and has been involved in 11 assists this season, which is amazing. He has looked sharped with his decision making and has improved a lot under Pep Guardiola. His contributions are one of the reasons why City will win the league as Sterling has the brightest chance of winning the PFA Young Player of the Year this season.
