The next generation of Manchester United Youth players

  1. Andreas Pereira:

The Brazilian is a very exciting prospect in the midfield. Currently on loan at Valencia, Pereira is impressing even after having a mixed campaign with the Spanish club. He is versatile and can play in different roles as and when needed in the midfield. But perhaps this is what goes against him. He needs to fix a position for to regularly play in and then master it which will certainly help under the reign of Jose Mourinho. It is interesting to see how the Brazilian does once he is back from his loan spell next season.

  1. Axel Tuanzebe:

It was kind of surprising seeing Axel join Aston Villa leave on a loan this season but nevertheless it has been a good experience for the Englishman. United have at times massively struggled at the back and there are reinforcements needed for the next season. Axel has already showcased his talent, showing his leadership and strength at the back and seems ready for more senior action. Jose Mourinho would look into him as an option for his backline which will only help Axel’s development at United.

  1. Angel Gomes:

We have seen a glimpse of what a sparkling talent Angel Gomes is when he came on for Wayne Rooney against Crystal Palace in the 2016-17 season. He’s an amazing dribbler, very quick with his foot work and can beat past defenders with ease on his day.  Of course, he still has a lot to learn and develop but the way he has been growing as a player, it surely looks great for him and United.

  1. Demetri Mitchell:

Demetri had a stunning debut when he started out with his loan spell with Scottish side Hearts of Midlothian. He was awarded as the Man of the Match in his debut match and impressed many. Mitchell is naturally a winger but can play both as a wing-back and left back. Mitchell is highly rated by Mourinho and it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he is brought into the first team next season.

  1. Tahith Chong:

United have immensely struggled creating things from the right wing and it seems Tahith Chong might be the answer to it. Chong is very young but has amazed many with some stellar performances on the right. The 18 year old has been sidelined with injury this season but that hasn’t stopped him from being involved in the goals. Also, he has an excellent workrate and physical strength, something Jose loves. It is only a matter of time before Tahith Chong makes it into the first team.
