Players who could be the next Manchester United Captain

Players who could be the next Manchester United Captain:

  1. Alexis Sanchez:

It has not been even a year that Sanchez has joined the Red Devils but we are yet to see his best. Slowly but surely, Sanchez is getting into the groove of how Manchester United play. Sanchez was no less than a leader at Arsenal when he drove the players around him to get the goals and help the club. Although it is a tad early to think of Sanchez as captain, he is surely one of the good options available.

  1. Eric Bailly:

Bailly joined United this summer from Villarreal and has showcased some sensational performance at the back. Injuries have been a hurdle for him but that is something that can be overcome. The Ivorian leads the backline nicely and has the potential and passion to lead the team if asked to. He will require to play more regularly before he has been given the role of captaincy but if given so, the team surely won’t lack any motivation on the pitch.

  1. Ander Herrera:

The Spaniard has been an integral part of the Manchester United squad especially under the reign of Jose Mourinho. Herrera may not have been as consistent as one would expect him to be but one thing what he surely offered is his passion for the club on and off the pitch. He has been a leader on the pitch and stepped up when needed. One fine example of that was in the Europa League final last season as Herrera has proven he has what it takes to be United’s captain.

  1. Paul Pogba:

The Frenchman is arguably one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. He is the complete midfielder, he can score from the midfield, create from the midfield and help out doing the defensive duties. In the recent most derby against Manchester City, Pogba showed how great a leader he can be with his two crucial goals, registering a fantastic comeback for United. He knows the club in and out and can be a very good leader for the Reds.

  1. David De Gea:

The Spaniard has been outstanding for the Red Devils for the past three seasons, evolving from a good goalkeeper to arguably one of the best goalkeeper in the world. His acrobatic saves and sharp reflexes have been of immense help to United. He has been at the club for a long time now and knows what is demanded by the fans. He can be given the armband to lead the team and there is no doubt that the Spaniard would do a good job with that too.
