Premier League 2017/18 fixtures

The Premier League officially unveiled the provisional fixture list for the 2017/18 season at 9 AM today, while the English Football League fixtures will be released on Wednesday, 21 June and Scotland’s games on 23.

The defending champions Chelsea will kick off their new season at home against Burnley, while the last season’s runners-up Tottenham will travel to the newly promoted Newcastle United. It will be interesting to see how Tottenham will perform at Wembley, especially as they will have a tough first test at their temporary home against Chelsea on the second weekend of the season.

Arsenal will be looking to get back into the top four by hosting Leicester, while Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United will begin the new season at home against West Ham. United have an easy schedule actually, as after West Ham they will face Swansea away, Leicester at home and Stoke away.

United’s main rivals, Manchester City kick off the new campaign with a visit to the newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion, then face Everton at home and Bournemouth away, before hosting Liverpool on September 9. The first Manchester derby of the new domestic campaign is at Old Trafford on December 9, with the reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium on April 7.

Liverpool, on the flip side, starts the new season with a trip to Watford and will follow this up with two home fixtures against Crystal Palace and Arsenal along with a trip to Manchester City.

Everton have arguably the most difficult start of any Premier League side, kicking off their season at home against Stoke, then facing visits to Manchester City and Chelsea, before hosting Tottenham and traveling to Manchester United.

The new boys Huddersfield Town make their Premier League debut at Crystal Palace, before hosting fellow newcomers Newcastle in the second round. Brighton will welcome Manchester City at home on the opening round and they will travel to Leicester on the second weekend, before visiting Watford. Meanwhile, Newcastle United welcome Tottenham Hotspur at St. James Park on the opening game and will travel to Huddersfield in the second weekend.
