Premier League 2017/18 fixtures

The Premier League officially unveiled the provisional fixture list for the 2017/18 season at 9 AM today, while the English Football League fixtures will be released on Wednesday, 21 June and Scotland’s games on 23. The defending champions Chelsea will kick off their new season at home against Burnley, while the last season’s runners-up Tottenham will travel to the newly promoted Newcastle United. Pep Guardiola under pressure

Pep Guardiola has collected 21 pieces of silverware during his reign at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but he finished trophyless after his first season in charge of Manchester City. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson says teammate Daniel Sturridge was hurt by the widespread criticism he faced during what has been an injury-plagued campaign.
