Teams that haven’t done much business this transfer season

  1. Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp and his men lacked the cutting edge last season to win the Premier League, and it was evident that they needed some recruitments to challenge for the title this season successfully. But surprisingly they have only recruited two players in Salah and Solanke. While that is a positive, Liverpool still need quality signings in the defence and also in the midfield. With the competition around, very few players are attainable and Klopp and co. need to act quickly to be ready to challenge for the title.

4.

        Inter Milan

Juventus have been brutally dominant in the Serie A for a long time now. AC Milan have been very clear with their intent this summer, bringing in a lot of players to compete at the top. While Inter have signed four players this season, only one player i.e. Borja Valero comes close to be called world class. With Perisic linked with Manchester United, Spaletti has to get his replacement and two three more to go all in to challenge for the title.

  1. Arsenal

We all know that Arsene Wenger shies away from spending, but he had surprised many when Arsenal signed Lacazette this summer. It was about time that Arsenal signed a good striker and while they have managed to do that, they still need to bring him some more players to get back in the Champions League and hopefully compete to win the Premier League. They need more quality in the heart of the midfield and also at the back to boost their chances of staying on top at the end of the season.

  1. Barcelona

The transfer of Neymar to Paris Saint Germain should destabilise Barcelona, and it only means a lot of money to be spent this summer. Nelson Semedo is a good signing, but Barcelona have plenty of other places to look after. There are no apt second choice options when it comes to the centre of defence and at the front. Iniesta and Mascherano are ageing and may soon retire, and the Catalans are yet to replace them. Same goes with Sergio Busquets, and it is time Barcelona unleash themselves in the transfer market before its too late.

  1. Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs were pretty close to challenge for the title last season but buckled at the very end. Tottenham need more quality in the squad especially with their participation in Europe this season. Spurs have been surprisingly very silent in the market even after the departure of Kyle Walker. While it is good that Pochettino believes in his squad, but it is also necessary he brings in more quality to the squad.
