- Sergio Aguero:
It isn’t the first time that the Argentine is mentioned in this list as he has been consistently impressive in the Premier League. At the early stage of this season it looked that things between him and Pep Guardiola weren’t all good but with time things got cleared up. He has scored 21 goals this season along with having six assists under his belt in spite being injured for a substantial amount of time. His contribution has played an important part in City winning the title.
- Harry Kane:
The Englishman has once again proven what a phenomenal striker he is. Kane has been amazing in front of the goal, scoring 30 goals or so for almost the last few seasons. He has scored 35 goals in 41 matches in all competitions this season. He is second in the Golden boot race and it is utterly unfair that the English striker will once again not be able to win any trophy this season in spite of some brilliant performances.
- David De Gea:
One more season passes on but yet David De Gea remains Manchester United’s best player. The Spanish goalkeeper has once again shown why he deserves to be considered among the best goalkeepers in the world right now. His quick reflexes, sharp saves and amazing acrobatics have saved United time and again from conceding. His command in the box gets stronger season by season and it is best United sign him up for a longer duration before Real Madrid come knocking again for him.
- Kevin De Bruyne:
The Belgian midfielder has had a splendid season this year under Pep Guardiola showcasing his talent and abilities in arguably the best league in the world. De Bruyne has stepped up almost every single time Pep wanted him to and made a massive difference with his incisive passing and creative abilities. He has assisted 15 times this season and scored seven goals himself. His passing has been a delight to watch, that too from both his feet and it is safe to say that De Bruyne had a major role to play to help City win the title this season.
- Mohamed Salah:
The Egyptian has to be best transfer signing of this season. Signed from Roma, Salah was expected to make a difference with Liverpool but he has gone on to make a huge difference for the Reds. He has already scored 29 goals and is on his way to score the highest amount of goals scored in a Premier League season in spite of playing as a winger. He has been almost unstoppable and his influence on the game definitely earns him the title to win the Player of the season.
